About
Penelope Lynex studied with Paul Tortelier in Paris after graduating from the Royal Academy of Music in London, following a distinguished student career. She and Alexander Wells have built up a large repertoire which includes unusual items besides the better known, and extends from Bach to the present day. She has performed in Europe, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
Alexander Wells has a varied career as accompanist and chamber musician, with a speciality as a choral accompanist. After taking a degree in Modern Languages at Cambridge he went on to study at the Royal College of Music with Stephen Savage and Alasdair Graham, training later as a répétiteur at the National Opera Studio in London. He has worked on the music staff at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, at Glyndebourne and with many other companies.
