The creative team of Kurt Weill and Burt Brecht holds a special place in modern classical music. The musician and writer understood how to create popular works.
Lotte Lenya, partner of Kurt Weill, sings the main role in the three recordings presented here - it was also she who sung these pieces for the first time on stage.
As a bonus-track, we present Bert Brecht singing “Moritat von Meckie Messer” - a recording from 1930.
