About
‘Zimro’ (meaning ‘singer’) was the name of a chamber music ensemble whose first concert took place in 1918 in St. Petersburg. Today, this historic ensemble is remembered as the group of musicians for whom Prokofiev composed his ‘Overture on Hebrew Themes Op.34’.
