About

Acclaimed by the New York Times for his first concert at New York’s Lincoln Center in 2004, the young Franco-American pianist David Greilsammer (born in 1977) has since then been regularly invited to perform in the most important concert halls worldwide and under the leading conductors of our time. His debut recording of Mozart’s early piano concertos as soloist/conductor for Vanguard Classics was one of the Daily Telegraph’s ‘CDs of the Year’ in 2006.

A new signing for Naïve, Greilsammer now presents a very personal recital: an original and highly convincing programme devoted to the fantasia genre. It’s built around Mozart’s famous Fantasia in C minor, opens and closes with Bach’s Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue in D minor and takes in Brahms, Cage and even a new piece written for him by young composer Jonathan Keren.
