The Hagen Quartet, unchallenged at the head of the international string quartet elite since 1981, captivates its listeners again and again. The album “Hagen Quartett 30” was released on the occasion of the ensemble’s 30th anniversary in 2011, which also marked the beginning of the collaboration with the label Myrios Classics. This gem of chamber music recordings has been produced in the historic Siemensvilla in Berlin and includes works by Beethoven, Mozart, and Webern – three composers of central importance for the ensemble.
