About
The Bach family is known to be the most musical in the history of Western music. Through each flute work on this recording, typical compositional characteristics of each respective Bach family member appear.
Beniamino Paganini (b. 1994) is a passionate traverso player, harpsichordist, ensemble leader and music teacher. The Belgian music press has named him Young Musician of the Year 2020. He received his masters degrees for traverso (2016), harpsichord (2017) and Maestro al Cembalo (2019) and bachelor degree musicology (2018), all with great distinction. Beniamino is founder and, together with Nele Vertommen, artistic director of Musica Gloria.
Musica Gloria is a young and vibrant professional early music ensemble aiming for international top quality. Throughout the years, Musica Gloria has built a solid foundation with the mission to move listeners with affectionate, lively, colourful and historically informed performances, with (copies of) historical instruments. The ensemble does not shy away from well-known masterpieces and also likes to perform unjustly unknown compositions. Musica Gloria has performed for organisations such as Klara, BOZAR, AMUZ, MAfestival, Musica Antica and Concertgebouw Brugge.
