About

The Ballades of the great pianist Frederic Chopin reveal unknown realms of human consciousness and emotion; overwhelming the listener with their epochal scales, they present inner struggles and personal development with the help of the wonderful language of music - the composer as psychologist uniting the human soul with the pure essence of the piano and bringing forth a new art.

Waltzes, Preludes and Nocturnes are the pearls of the piano repertoire, displaying Chopin’s genius in all its diversity.

The compositions of the Franz Liszt cycle Années de pèlerinage were the signs of new times and new music. For example, tonality in ‘Le Mal du pays’ was enriched by amazing harmonies and unheard transitions, with dramatic turns pushing the boundaries of form in music. In ‘Les Cloches de Genève - Nocturne’ the piano reaches new dimensions, symbolising mysterious majestic bells, murmuring water, the movement of the wind and other concrete sounds. Here, the piano becomes the instrument of tone poetry.

Abdyssagin Rakhat-Bi Tolegenuly is a composer and pianist, he regularly plays solo recitals and at portrait concerts. Rakhat-Bi Abdyssagin is a Master of Art Sciences, a laureate of the State Youth Prize “Daryn”, a holder of the Badge of Honour “For services to the development of culture and art” of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS, a member of the Association of Tchaikovsky Competition Stars and a winner of the National Project “100 new faces of Kazakhstan”.
