About
‘Simultaneity’ comprises live recordings of world premiere recordings of six of Sezer’s compositions, performed by various artists including Münchener Kammerorchester, Studio Musikfabrik and TrioCoriolis.
Ataç Sezer studied piano and musicology as well as the ney, the traditional flute of Ottoman court music. He likes to experiment with new playing techniques and loves combining Western and Eastern instruments.
On this portrait CD, which offers an exclusive selection of chamber, ensemble and orchestral works, it becomes clear how present the influences of two musical traditions are in Sezer’s work.
