About
Each of the seven pieces recorded on the CD is a manifestation of an ingenious adaptation of Polish folklore in violin music. As the artist herself points out, the output of the composers presented on this album has a special meaning for her, even considering the fact that Karol Lipiński was born in her hometown, Henryk Wieniawski was born in Lublin, where he graduated from the primary music school, and for many years, Emil Młynarski was the rector of the university with which the violinist is currently associated. The album also contains Piotr Wróbel’s transcription of three Polonaises, op.9, by Karol Lipiński, premiered by Zuzanna Budzyńska in 2017.
