At the same time, the CD also characterizes the new direction of the Gaechinger Cantorey: for its second CD recording under the direction of Rademann, the choir is accompanied by the Cantorey’s own newly formed baroque orchestra. The CD also features the first recording of a chest organ, commissioned by the Bachakademie, that is a replica from the organ workshop of the legendary Gottfried Silbermann, a contemporary of Bach.
