About
Born in 1997, Maya Levy participated in numerous international competitions and won several prizes: ‘FLAME’ competition in Paris (2nd Prize); Concours ‘Grumiaux’ (1st Prize); Stockholm Music Competition (1st Prize); Belfius Classics Competition (1st Prize); Oistrakh International Violin Competition in Moscou (semi-finalist)…
Both the public and press have witnessed and rightfully appreciated the depth of her musical sensitivity, the justified assertiveness of her faultless technique and her stage presence, charismatic and captivating, that characterizes her. Maya Levy’s instrument is a 1851 ‘Cerruti’.
Maya Levy has been forming a duo with pianist Matthieu Idmtal since 2013. Their performances are described as ‘pure magic’.
This is the first recording of this young duo.
