About
This disc is of music by composers who left their homeland to seek to find success and positions in other lands. The music, all for viola and piano, is of great interest, being infrequently encountered or of quite recent date.
The Sonata ebraica by Graham Waterhouse (long resident in Germany) is of particular interest, composed for the gifted musicians who play it on this well recorded album. The music by Aaron Yalom is a great rarity and is a very beautiful composition.
Also included is music by the father-and-son composers Ernest and Frank Ezra Levy, to make a unique disc of considerable appeal.
