Ich hatte viel BekummernisHerr, ich habe lieb
Lasset uns freuen und frohlich sein
Ecce quomodo
Mein Herz ist bereit
Alles Fleisch ist wie Gras
Er lebt, der unbezwungne Held
Ruh, muder Leib

Johann Adam Hiller published six collections of four-part motets and arias between 1776 and 1791. They offer a rich selection of works, mostly from the second half of the 18th century, and give us an interesting insight into a new blossoming of the motet, which it then experienced after having led a shadowy existence for more than a hundred years.
Here the Sächsisches Vocalensemble (Saxon Vocal Ensemble) under Matthias Jung presents a selection of the most beautiful pieces from these collections.
