About
'Fratres' is a compilation album featuring some of the most beautiful recordings made during the long and fruitful collaboration between Les Violons du Roy and ATMA Classique.
Music by Bach, Gluck, Pachelbel, Rameau, Mozart, Bartók, Pärt, Piazzolla and Britten is performed by soprano Karina Gauvin, countertenor Daniel Taylor and Italian pianist Benedetto Lupo. Mathieu Lussier and Jean-Marie Zeitouni are also featured as conductors.
The album takes its name from a work by Arvo Pärt, recorded by Les Violons in 2008 and released here for the first time.
