Orange Mountain Music presents the premiere recording of Philip Glass’s 1991 score to Errol Morris’s film about the life and work of Stephen Hawking 'A Brief History of Time'.
This film marked the second of three famous collaborations between composer Glass and director Morris: The first was 'A Thin Blue Line' (OMM0007) and the third was 'The Fog of War' (OMM0010) which won the Academy Award for best documentary.
This 56-minute score for orchestra captures the ethos of Hawking’s journeys into the furthest realms of scientific thought and Morris’s probing cinematic style.
