CPO present the second volume of Telemann’s concertos for mixed solo ensembles. Once again, the concertos exhibit high compositional quality and Telemann’s frequently cited 'mixed style' in their wealth of motivic shapes and widely spanned harmonic developments.
As with volume one, the interpreters are our expert Telemann project advocates: Michael Schneider with the soloists and musicians of La Stagione.
“Yes these concertos are grand! Schneider and his excellent players present yet another varied and involving sequence of works reminding one, if needed, just how inventive and resourceful the prolific Telemann was.” - Classical Music ***** on Vol.1
