About
An organ extravaganza, for organ aficionados and music lovers with a taste for the extraordinary: famous and popular overtures played by two players four hands!
The overtures presented are well-known works by J S Bach (from his Orchestral Overtures or Suites), Handel (Water Music), Mozart (La Clemenza di Tito), Beethoven’s Coriolan, Carmen, and some big fun with Rossini (Il Barbiere di Siviglia and L’Italiana in Algeri).
The Baroque overtures are played on a German Baroque organ; the romantics are played on a huge 19th century Italian organ.
All are played with zest, insight and virtuosity by Pietro Pasquini and Francesco Zuvadelli.
The booklet contains all information on the organs used, as well as expert liner notes.
