About
The Symphony No.3 premiered on the 15th January 1904 and is a musical image of the seasons of the year. It is so permeated with a Polish flavour that one cannot help comparing it with Wladyslaw Reymont's novel Chlopi which was written at the same time and based on the same concept.
By extrolling the Polish countryside and customs, Zygmunt Noskowski could express his patriotic sentiments in a form that did not provoke the Tsarist censors.
José Maria Floréncio conducts the Narodova Orkiestra Symfoniczna Polskiego Radia Katowice in Symphony no.3. All the other works are played by the Polska Orkiestra Radiowa conducted by Lukasz Borowicz.
