About

The Brunnenthaler summer concerts represent one of the gems of Austria’s early music scene. Every year, audiences come from far and wide to the baroque jewel to hear performances on the historic Brunnenthal 1715 organ.

Italian organist and ensemble director Francesco Cera, together with the cornettist William Dongois, performed a programme of music from the 17th century. In accordance with the practice of the time, the repertoire ranges from purely instrumentally performed motets and virtuoso sonatas to toccatas whose origins lie in Italy. This recording is the result of that epic performance.
