Ondine are longstanding supporters of Lindberg’s music – always instrumentally idiomatic and powerful. This latest release consists of no less than three world premiere recordings - of the Violin Concerto and the chamber orchestra works Jubilees and Souvenir.

Internationally renowned violinist Pekka Kuusisto is recognized for his fresh approach to the repertoire and being a strong advocate of new music. Here he appears as soloist and director of the Tapiola Sinfonietta, a partnership that works together on a frequent basis.

Lindberg is known foremost as a composer, but appears here for the first time as a conductor of his own works. He recently completed his tenure as the Composer-in Residence at the New York Philharmonic.
