About
As with previous volumes, Raphael’s works can be categorised into an early, middle and late period and this disc shows the style of his compositions from 1924-1956.
The works on this disc are all Concertini: two of them released here are for viola and flute, plus the Concertine op.71 for alto saxophone and orchestra, also released on their Volume 1.
Erwin Milzkott is the soloist in the Concertino for flute and small orchestra, with Karel Ancerl conducting the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra.
