About
This is the first comprehensive recording of Ullmann’s piano works in nearly 20 years.
Viktor Ullmann is an especially prominent member of the composers whose music was notoriously termed “Entartete Musik” (Degenerate Music) during the 1930s by the Nazi regime.
Jeanne Golan, a Steinway artist, is bringing Viktor Ullmann’s repertoire to concert and educational venues across the country for uniquely designed programs that balance performance and discussion - most recently at the Spertus Institute in Chicago, WFMT Radio, USC Los Angeles, and her debut at the Ravinia Festival in a program hosted by James Conlon.
