About
Eminent cellist David Geringas and Ian Fountain, an exceptional pianist and sensitive chamber music partner, have been playing together as a duo for many years. Together they developed this mostly Czech programme telling sonorous fairy tales: Pohádkas, as they are called in Czech - stories from other places and times.
Dvorak, Janacek and Suk come from Bohemia and Moravia, and even Mahler, though considered an Austrian composer, was born in Czech Kalischt and grew up in Iglau.
